Insurance Bytes collects and processes only Personal Data that it believes is reasonably required for providing its services, carrying out its functions, and improving the Platform. In particular, Insurance Bytes may Process:

  1. personal details required for providing an Insurance Policy quote such as your;
  1. For individuals or families, age/date of birth, gender and lifestyle, medication, hospitalization etc. related information will be required as asked by insurance company and its related parties. There would be a different set of information being required in case of general insurance requirement as required by Insurance Company or its related parties to offer you Insurance Policy quotes;
  1. your preference, such as notification preferences;
  1. questions, comments, concerns, or feedback, provided by you;
  1. information necessary to authenticate your account such as your password and;
  1. any other personal information provided by you.

2.2. Usage and Technical Data: We may choose to Process information about how you use our Platform, such as:

  1. insurance policies viewed;
  1. insurance policies purchased;
  1. features you use, actions you take, and the time, frequency, and duration of your use and;

d. if required, to government agencies such as the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (“IRDAI“) for any related compliance with regulatory requirements;

f. courts, tribunals, law enforcement and other authorities pursuant to orders issued by them or pursuant to mandate under law, for compliance with legal process, for verification of identity, or for prevention, detection, investigation, prosecution and punishment of incidents including cyber incidents, fraud or imminent harm, and ensuring the security of our network and services;

g. third parties in case of a business transfer if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or transition of service to another provider; and

All activities related to Processing of data are performed in compliance with requirements under Indian laws, rules, regulations, guidelines, and court orders, such as guidelines issued by the IRDAI.

10.   Changes to the Privacy Policy: Insurance Bytes may amend or modify the terms of this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any significant change to this Privacy Policy, we will attempt to notify you, such as by contacting you or by providing a notice in the interface of the Platform. However, you should regularly review the Privacy Policy from time to time to ensure that you are aware of the latest Privacy Policy. Any changes will be effective at least 14 days after posting of the revised Privacy Policy. 1.      In certain circumstances providing Personal Data may be optional. However, if you choose not to provide Personal Data that is needed to use some features of our Platform, you may be unable to use those features.

2.      You can update or correct your Personal Data in your account on the Platform. However, please note that updating Personal Data in your account does not result in any change to Personal Data in your Insurance Policies. Changes to your Insurance Policies must be made by directly contacting the relevant Insurer.

3.      All marketing related emails sent by us contain a link or another method to opt out of similar emails in future. Please note it may take up to 21 days to process your request.
